28/365 Refinished Table

Here is the table with the new finish on it. Still need to polyurethane, but otherwise, it's done. Now on to the chairs...

27/365 Table Progress

I've got the finish sanded off the top of my table and all the table sections. The next step is to stain and seal the top. After that I will touch up the black paint on the bottom.

23/365 Too Many Cucumbers

Tonight I went to Frys to buy some milk and produce. Didn't think too much about the total as I swiped my debit card, but walking out I finally began to wonder why my bill was $52 dollars. Turns out that the checker rang up 39 cucumbers when I only bought 3. That second receipt is the credit for the phantom cucumbers.

Tonight I was hanging out in Jared's room while Jacob played through some of his favorite songs on Jared's iTunes. I think my baby is so cute...and so do many of the girls from school. I can't believe he's going to be a teenager this March.

21/365 Empty Cookie Tin

I have found the most delicious cookies at Cost Plus World Market. They are Swedish ginger snaps. This red tin is what they come in at Christmas and they are sold out now. The sales girl told me to come back at the end of the month and look for it in a smaller blue tin. Oh yeah, I'll be there.

20/365 Homework Interview

Tonight I was interviewed by Jacob for an English assignment. Now he's trying to write the essay from it that is due tomorrow. AHH, there's nothing like the last minute.

19/365 Diet In A Box

This is my latest attempt at dieting. I really tried to eat healthfully. I really tried to eat real food. But this box got my attention... "feel fuller longer" and that sounds good to me. Besides, I was skipping breakfast most every day and we all know how bad that is for us!

JB sniffs the kill that either he or his brother Elvis brought in earlier today. Will you look at that dog and cat hair on the floor?! Someone get a broom...

Week 3 Layout

17/365 Vacuum That Pool

Jacob is vacuuming our pool for the last time. Our barracuda cleaner hasn't been working (as you can tell by the dirt in the pool). Jacob is trying to get done so he can go hang out with friends.

16/365 Lunch at Macayos

Lunch date at Macayos. Renee, Norma, Me and Laura (Norma's daughter). Before we left we had a waitress take our photo. Great girl's day out!

15/365 Homeless Dog

With our move comes many changes. One of those changes is that Chooch will not be moving with us. He is waiting for someone to take him home to love.

Jacob tells me tonight that he wants me to share my Beatles mp3 files with him so he can put them on his iPod. It's about time he got into some good music.

It's our house and yes, that garage needs to be cleaned out! BTW, pretend that we don't have icicle lights still on the house from Christmas.

12/365 The Norm

Today's photo is one that shows what might be happening at my house on any given day. Jared is on the floor playing with JB (who just lost the ball under the couch). Jacob is at the computer on his My Space. Choo Choo is scrounging on the kitchen floor hoping to find anything edible, and Elvis is laying on the couch.

11/365 Get Packing

4 boxes. Count them. I packed those today. Plus there are a couple storage containers with some of my scrap goodies that I organized. Oh, in case you hadn't heard, we are moving. And this is my start.

Week 2 Layout

Here is my layout for the end of the second week. I hope you are catching the spirit of what I'm going for. At the end of the year, I would really love to upload all my weekly layouts and have it put into book form. (That is why I'm leaving the space in the middle of the 2 pages so I won't lose anything in book binding)

10/365 Just Stuff

This is just some stuff that sits on a shelf in my downstairs family room. In the little Starbucks coffee bottles are some paper flowers for scrapping with, and in the short mason jar I have some rocks, glass stones, and bamboo sticks.

9/365 Sleeping Beauties

My cats are not well right now. Not sure what's wrong. Elvis had a swollen leg like he'd been bitten by something and he wasn't keeping his food down (and he eats all the time). Then JB seemed to be sick, too. They've been sleeping more than normal and they just have no energy. Here they are in my bed this morning.

8/375 Cat Pillow

Almost everyone was hanging out on the couch tonight, including our 2 cats. Here is Jacob using JB as his pillow. JB didn't let that go on very long.

7/365 Making Cookies

A couple months ago, I taught Jared how to make cookies. Tonight he made chocolate chip cookies because he and Jacob wanted to eat the cookie dough. Now both of my boys are on their way to becoming great bakers.

I got home from work after 8 p.m. and realized I hadn't taken any pictures today. Well, here is my picture for the day. It's not anything from my day, though. It's from Jason's day and it belongs to "Nobody Important"

5/365 Where Is Everyone?

Kids are back to school, hubby is back to work, and I got to sit for much of my work day doing nothing because I had 2 clients cancel. That's the way it goes sometimes. Lucky me gets to go in on Friday and make up for the lost wages of today. This is my nail station...well, the right edge of it anyway. I really love my Kupa drill.

4/365 Unload It...Again!

We've had a full house this entire week for our kids' second week of Christmas vacation (oops, I'm supposed to call it "Winter Break"). Today's picture is of my dishwasher full of freshly washed dishes. I just unloaded this bad boy yesterday morning. In a day and a half, this family can fill an entire dishwasher with mostly glasses.

3/365 Just Me And My Keyboard

I have spent a good portion of my day learning how to edit HTML. HAHAHAHAHA! I still know exactly what I knew when I woke up today. It's a good thing that there are folks out there that can write a great tutorial to walk the technically challenged through those silly modifications we seem to want to do. See this font? 2/365 You're Making Me Dizzy

Sure he looks happy in the picture, but Jason spent the better part of today laying down. In the wee early hours of morning, he developed vertigo. He couldn't even roll over without the sensation that his world was twisting and turning. Can't blame it on alcohol, either. Still not sure why it happened or if it will happen again.

1/365 Happy New Year

Today is the first day of 2009 and the first day of my own Project 365. Every day I will attempt to take a picture. My goal is to create a 2 page scrapbook layout per week. I guess since this year started on Thursday my first layout will only have 3 photos. I'll post each layout here as I finish it.
Hopefully having this blog will make it easier on me to keep track of what was going on in each photo.

I have a really great husband. Jason is also a fantastic bacon maker. This morning he cooked up bacon for the family. What a great way to start the new year!!
