120/365 May Desktop

Oh happy day when I get the newest desktop from Shabby Princess. Since May is Olivia's birthday month, she gets the honor of gracing my computer for the month. Yeah, that's Elvis, too. I needed one more photo and he ranks high on the cute factor.

119/365 Look Ma, No Cavities!

After our uninvited house guests were here, Jared refused to use the toothbrush in his medicine cabinet. Can't blame him. He took the last of our supply, so I ended up picking up more at Sam's Club today. I really love a new toothbrush.

118/365 Bang Bang

I had Renee cut me some bangs. It's good to hide the wrinkles on my forehead. Jason said that he feels like he's hanging out with my younger sister now. See, hiding wrinkles is very good.

117/365 I Have To Weight

Meet my new best friend. We have a date every morning right after I get up and go pee. So far I'm enjoying our dates because I am losing weight!

116/365 Stuck At Home

This is how Jacob has spent his weekend. He's grounded for a few reasons....bad grades and bad decisions (see this post). We'll see if computer time needs to go away next week if things don't begin to improve.

115/365 Diet Food?

Today is the first day of my new diet. Today and tomorrow I will be stuffing myself with foods like this. High fat foods are a must. I know....it's totally crazy.

114/365 Lunch Box

This morning I actually made a school lunch for the first time in a few years. Olivia likes to take a packed lunch and since her dad (who usually makes it) had to go to work early, I stepped in and helped out.

113/365 Big 'Ol Water Bottle

I just bought this big boy today. It holds just over 2 liters of water. Now I can gauge how much water I'm actually drinking each day.

112/365 Why Is Elvis So Tired?

I'll tell you why... he was up most of the night MEOWING at the top of his lungs. He has been a total spaz ever since we got home from Montana. I had ended up shutting him out of our bedroom and when Jason got up at three in the morning ended up putting him on the balcony (which is where he REALLY wanted to be). His pitiful cries woke me around 5 a.m. He finally passed out just before I had to wake up for work.

111/365 This Little Mop

This is a picture of a cheap mop. This is the mop that I used to clean my tile floor on Tuesday. This is the mop that cleaned the floor that was covered with spilled beer and booze. This is the mop that cleaned the floor that hosted a party for Jacob's friends. This little mop worked for over an hour cleaning up after kids who I never invited to party at my house while I was out of town for a funeral.

110/365 Goodbye, Keith

Monday was Keith Albright's funeral. My heart breaks for his family.

109/365 Sign Of The Times?

It took two photos of this billboard sign (in Kalispell) to get the whole thing in view. (That darn truck!) I used the second photo, enlarged it and layered it on the first photo. If you click on the picture you should be able to read it. If not, it says: "Ryan, Got your attention? You are a no-good, rotten, dirt-bag. Everything is on tape, and everyone will see it, CHEATER! Your (soon-to-be ex) wife, Heather"

108/365 Still A Little Snow

Jason and I had a big travel day on Saturday. Because of vehicles needing to be shuffled around, he and I rode up to Kalispell from Plains, then drove back to Plains and then again to Kalispell. On the 2nd leg of our journey, we drove down the mountain and went by their cabin. We passed snow packs on the side of the road and I just HAD to get a picture.

107/365 Spring Flowers

These lovely daffodils are growing in my mother-in-law's front yard. I was shocked that they would grow in what I think is cold weather. Yes, it's spring but Plains, Montana was only in the high 50's during the day and somewhere in the 30's at night when I got there.

106/365 Crystal Door Knobs

My mother-in-law (Katie Lou) has the coolest door knobs in her house. I love the old fashioned keyholes, too.

105/365 Flies On The Ceiling

Jason drove his nephew Beau's truck back to Missoula Wednesday night to pick me up at the airport. This is what is on the ceiling of his truck. Such a handy way to store your fishing flies. I think they look kind of cool, too.

104/365 Getting Ready....AGAIN

Tuesday night I bought my airline ticket to return to Montana for Keith's funeral. I am very fortunate that Jason understood my need to be there with him and his family. I had to work the next morning and then hurry to the airport for my late afternoon flight. Luckily it was the boys weekend with their dad coming up and I was trying to arrange for one of my sisters to come for a night or two.

103/365 Cat Checks Baggage

I got home from the airport late the night before and didn't even think of unpacking my bag. Monday morning, before work, I opened it to unpack and Elvis had to get right in there to check it out.

102/365 Original Water Fountain

Just outside of Jason's town is this fountain of water. It's a natural mountain spring and the water is really cold. He stopped and filled some bottles for us so I didn't have to freeze my hands.

101/365 Jail House Rock?

Here I am in Plains, Montana in front of the little old jail. This is just behind the grocery store. I really wanted a picture of it, so my wonderful husband obliged me.

100/365 Leaving On A Jet Plane

Jason and I are on board our flight to Montana. I only get to stay the weekend, but Jason will be there for an extra week. His grandma's memorial service is on Thursday (his birthday).

99/365 Dinner Out With Our Kids

OK, I didn't take this picture. I totally forgot to get a photo of our early Easter dinner out with the kids. Since Jason and I weren't going to be able to spend Easter with the kids, we went out on Thursday. It was a really good night.

98/365 My Boys Are Growing!

I began measuring the boys at the end of 1996 when Jared was 8 months old and Jacob was 3 years old. (Jacob's marks are on the left/Jared on the right) I try to record their height every 6 months. Once we went a whole year without making any marks. Down the center I have the foot measurements. This piece of baseboard is one of my treasures.

97/365 Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night

I'm suffering with insomnia lately. I lay in bed and toss and turn. When I do finally fall asleep, I wake several times in the night. I should be grateful that I don't get insomnia very often. But when it plagues me, it really is the pits.

96/365 Grandma Passes

Today Jason's grandma died. She was in her 90's and I'm sure she had witnessed some great changes in her lifetime. This is a picture of my itinerary for the flight Jason and I are taking to go to Montana. I can only stay the weekend, but Jason will be stying for another week after I fly home. Can you believe how inexpensive Allegent Air has their tickets for?

95/365 Mini Scrapbook

I have been working on this little scrapbook for some time. I was inspired by a Theresa Collins scrapbook, but I couldn't find the paper anywhere, so I used Photoshop and created my own.

94/365 Evil Dead Night

Every few months or so, Jason and I feel compelled to watch a classic Bruce Campbell movie. If you haven't seen Army Of Darkness, then you are truly missing some great lines, such as
"Alright you Primitive Screwheads, listen up! You see this? This... is my boomstick! The twelve-gauge double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about a hundred and nine, ninety five. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. You got that?"
Makes us laugh every time.

93/365 There Might Be Monsters In There

Ever since I spent a few years in the late 80's working at Miller's Outpost (now known as Anchor Blue) I have had this need to keep my clothes in the "colorized" order that we had to use to organize the racks. If the top rack seems off it's because I have long sleeved shirts and tank tops in their own sections. I also feel the need to keep my empty hangers separate so that when I actually get around to hanging my clothes, I have an easier time. But I'm not obsessive compulsive or anything.

92/365 Desktop Do-Over

I just had to change my desktop image (see day 90). I LOVE Shabby Princess for their desktops, but their one for April was just too pastel for my taste. Lucky for me that Weeds & Wildflowers put out this bright little number.

Days 84-91

91/365

Happy Anniversary to me and Jason (also April Fool's Day). This is the dinner I'm making for him. Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. All from scratch.

90/365

Once again I have my new monthly desktop from Shabby Princess. I'm not crazy about the pastel colors, but at least I don't have to try to make it myself :)

89/365
We have these HUGE mosquito hawks all over the place outside our new house and they are always finding their way in, so I keep the fly swatter close at hand. As you can see, Elvis really loves it. Is it because it smells like bug guts?

88/365
These gloves used to belong to one of the girls. Now they are play toys for Elvis. He tosses them into the air and attacks them. No matter how many times I throw them back into the girls' room, they always wind up in our living spaces.

87/365
This is perhaps the biggest lizard I have ever held. Elvis brought this guy into the house and let him go so he'd be more fun to play with. I caught him in the under stair closet and freed him so he can eat lots of bugs.
86/365
Sometimes on Friday mornings when we have all 4 kids home for breakfast, Jason or I will make up a couple containers of Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls. I managed to snap this photo before the kids snarfed them all up.

85/365
I thought you'd all want to see what evil looks like. I was told she's a sweet kitty. I have yet to see anything of the sort. Nobody in my house can pet her because she will bite us when we try. Elvis is still trying to engage her to play with him even though she hisses and growls at him.

84/365
This is my shameful laundry basket. It's shameful because it's been sitting on my bedroom floor with clean clothes in it from at least 2 loads of laundry for the last several days. I am so good at getting the clothes washed, just not so good at getting them put away.
